ABOUT THE PROGRAMMES
M.Sc. Software Engineering is a unique programme conceived in 1997 by PSG Tech, for moulding quality software engineers.
M.Sc. Theoretical Computer science is an innovative research oriented programme from PSG Tech introduced in 2007 in collaboration with leading software houses to augment human resources of the R&D division of Software Industries.
PLACEMENT
Their students are absorbed by leading software houses like Amazon, ANZ, IT, CISCO, Cognizant, DE Show, Goldman Sachs, Google, HCL, HP, IBM, Infosys, Intel, Juniper Networks, Microsoft, Motorala, Novell, Oracle, OAT Systems, TCS, Thorogood, Thought Works, Trilogy, Verizon, Wipro and Yahoo.
INTERNSHIP
Both programmes have two internships each of six months duration, one in the seventh semester and the other in the tenth semester enabling the students to have industrial and R&D exposure. There students are sought after by leading MNCs for these internships are paid attractive stipend.
ELIGIBILITY:
An excellent academic record in Higher Secondary examination or equivalent (above 85% after normalizing CBSE, HSC, ICSE streams) with Mathematics and Physics, Computer Science as Two of the subjects of study.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Eligible Students with SPARK, Research Aptitude assessed by their performance in an interview, are admitted to the programme.
APPLICATION FORM
The prescribed application form and prospectus can be ad in person an payment of Rs.500/-. The application can also be obtained by pot by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.500/- drawn in favour of THE PRICIPAL, PSG COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY on any nationalized bank payable at Coimbatore along with two self-addressed white slips of size 6 cm x 10 cm. Application form can also be downloaded from PSG Tech Website: http://www.psgtech.edu/ and such applications duly filled in, must be submitted along with a DD for Rs.500/-
